Botox - effective lines and wrinkles treatment

What is Botox & which areas can be treated?

Botox is a specially prepared solution which when injected into a muscle leads to a temporary muscular relaxation. This produces an improvement in wrinkling in the upper face caused by the actions of the facial muscles. Botox has excellent effects on frown lines, worry lines and laughter lines.

What does it feel like?

The treatment involves a small number of injections of the Botox solution into the muscle groups that are causing the wrinkling and are quite painless. The full effect on the muscle develops over the following 2-14 days.

Will it last?

Gradually over 4-8 months the Botox effects will fade and the muscle action will return. When the frown, worry or laughter lines start to reappear a simple repeat treatment is all that is required to maintain the effect.

Are there any side effects to Botox?

The side effects are related to the local injection of the solution. There will be a slight discomfort from the needle of the injection. There has not been permanent side effects from the use of Botox.

Instructions to follow after treatment

Clients are requested to stay in the upright position for three to four hours after the injection and to attempt to use the muscles in the area of injection. Clients are asked not to massage the area to prevent diffusion of the botox solution to adjoining areas.

Completely free follow up consultation and top up if necessary.

Expert advice from Laserase Medical Expert
Sculptra, Botox and fillers are popular anti-wrinkle treatments. But how do you know that you are in safe hands? How do you distinguish an expert with the right skills and experience, and not an injector who just learnt it from watching Nip/Tuck on TV?

The following tips come from Dr Donal McKeown - Northern Ireland's top facial aesthetics medical expert!

Check
Is your injector a medical physician or surgeon who is fully registered with The General Medical Council (GMC) and The British Association of Cosmetic Doctors (BACD)?

All Injectible treatments at Laserase Medical Skincare Clinic are performed by qualified medical doctors.  There is no safer place to have Botox in Belfast or Northern Ireland!

Cost
Sculptra, Botox and fillers cost from £195 to £400 on average - but price should not be the determining factor. If a particular clinic is offering very low cost treatments, ensure that it is using genuine botox products, and that all botox procedures are performed by qualified practitioners.

Tailored Treatments
To achieve outstanding results, Laserase designs and tailors the treatments specifically for you.

Start Early
Prevention is better than cure. Certain treatments can help prevent the formation of new wrinkles and lines and slow down the ageing process. The clinic's clients have access to free follow-up consultations in order to ensure the highest possible standard of treatment.

Research
Ensure that your clinic is registered with the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA).
